$10,000 Chicago NCS Major announced
With the first NCS Major in Washington concluding this past weekend with Bushido Boyz taking down Big Frames and the second set to take place in Denver next month, N3rd Street Gamers have revealed the details of the third Major in the circuit.
Running from August 9-11 at Ignite Gaming Lounge in Chicago, Illinois, the three-day and up to 32-team tournament will utilize the same format as the GEXCon and Denver Majors. The majority of the group stage will play out on day one, with the second day seeing the end of any group play and the first round of playoffs.
The final day will be reserved for the semifinals and grand finals, with the champion taking home $5,000 of the $10,000 prize pool alongside points in the NCS leaderboard and free entry and travel support towards the NCS Grand Finals, which will take place at the end of the year in Denver.
The entry fee for the event is currently $85 per player, a $30 discount that will remain until July 7th. One team has already signed up on the Lobby.gg page, with Chicago-native Will "dazzLe" Loafman expressing interest on Twitter alongside two-time NCS Denver Minor winner Shawn "witmer" Taylor. July's NCS Major in Denver currently has 13 teams signed up, with today being the final day for the second-tier price of $100 before the entry fee rises to $115.
