Rough start for Complexity in Finland
The Elisa Masters tournament in Espoo, Finland started yesterday, but only today NA entered the action in the form of Complexity. Their first game was played against 500, #50 in the HLTV ranking from Bulgaria. Today Complexity still have to play four more BO1 games.
The map veto had the teams head over to Overpass, the map in which Complexity lost against Imperial back in the Americas RMR.
This time the North Americans had a strong start on the T-side, winning the pistol round plus four more rounds to kick off the map. Then, 500 came back to life and posted eight rounds of the nine played. Complexity managed to shorten the distance by half time, going to the side change down 8-7.
The second half saw more of a back-and-forth battle between the teams. Once again, Complexity won the pistol round, and two more alongside it. The trading of rounds favors the T-side, and 500 took advantage of this. The game went all 30 rounds, with Complexity needing to play for overtime when the game was 14-14. With Complexity down 15-14, 500 got an almost perfect round to close things out in the final round.
Not the start Complexity wanted, but they will be entering the server again at 07:00AM to face off against fnatic for a shot at claiming a 1-1 record in their group.
