Stewie fires back at EVY: "What kind of game are you playing?"
Yesterday, 1pv released a tell-all interview with Paolo "EVY" Berbudeau, former Assistant Coach of Evil Geniuses where the Frenchman was very critical of Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and the organization's seemingly blinding support for the player. The interview garnered the attention of all members of the CS:GO world, with some claiming this has made him the most hated NA player.
Stewie2K has since reacted to this story with a series of tweets late last night. In it, he quote tweeted EVY's statement about the interview. In it, he said "There are always two sides to every story, but wow, this is another level of twisted and overly dramatic" and "I don't even remember having coversations like that with YOU".
In a series of subsequent tweets, the Evil Geniuses IGL acknowledged that he might have had some issues within the team. He stated, "as twisted as he's making it, I do take accountability for acting on some of my frustrations, but not the way this guy is making it look." Stewie2K also declared that he would be going on Twitch to give his side of the story — "Seems like it's story time".
In the crux of the issue, Stewie2K noted that EVY was never someone that he had an issue with — it was always with Damien "maLeK" Marcel. Noting "it's an issue with Damien and me. How have you got so involved? Every conversation I've had with you was always friendly and polite." Stewie2K seemed genuinely surprised at EVY's idea that at ESL Pro League he was being nice just to make the former EG Head Coach upset. "You say I try to be nice to you to make Damien mad or jealous or whatever? What kind of game are you playing".
It's probably safe to say that there is no love lost between EVY and Stewie, with clear issues between Stewie2K and maLeK noted and acknowledged. Will the former Head Coach be making a tell-all interview like EVY or will he keep silent and keep any sort of drama out of the headlines? Time will tell and Dust2.us will be watching Stewie's livestream later to get the full side.
