BRUNO denied visa for ESL Pro League Season 9
Jaguar are now a member short for the start of ESL Pro League Season 9 as one of their Peruvian players, Bruno "BRUNO" Hernandez, has revealed in a Facebook post that he was denied a visa to enter the United States.
The league announced a change to an all-offline format at the start of the year, with Jaguar qualifying into the Latin America group with a win over Niknexus in the grand finals of the North Latin America qualifier. Their group for ESL Pro League Season 9 is scheduled to run from April 23-25th, and features the South Latin America champion, DETONA, alongside LA League finalists Isurus and FULL SEND, the last of whom confirmed that the entire team had attained visas in a Tweet earlier today.
This is not the first time that BRUNO has struggled to attain a visa to enter the United States, with the player previously being replaced by Javier "FiReMaNNN" Collado on Miami Flamingos in late 2017 due to the same issue. Juanes "sickLy" Valencia, captain of Jaguar, completed a P1 visa renewal in March last year to ensure his ability to continue traveling to events, but it appears BRUNO was not so lucky.
Jaguar are left with the following four players for ESL Pro League Season 9:
- Julio "VAATI" Jimenez
- Juanes "sickLy" Valencia
- Jesus "sam_A" Taboada
- Eduardo "Link" Osuna
With just under a month to go before the start of their group, the team will be hard-pressed to find a replacement in short order.
