Liquid go 0-1 after falling to Heroic
Waking up fans from the west of America at 3:00 AM, Liquid faced Heroic in the first game of the Legends stage where they could not overcome the Danes and lost 16-11. Regardless of the strong showing from Keith "NAF" Markovic on the T-side, the Americans couldn't put it together and are now 0-1.
If you ever need an example of a back and forth affair this game is perfect. Right from the start, Heroic put together a six-round winning streak, which Liquid then did in return. Heroic then once again went on a six-round winning streak, which Liquid attempted to return but couldn't put together. The first half was competitive at 9-6 despite Richard "shox" Papillon having a slow start as he was 1-14. In the second half, however, Heroic began to run away with the game. There was a glimmer of hope as Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella's consistency from sandbags looked promising but Heroic never let up and finished the game 16-11.
