Rogue dominate Luminosity to advance to ECS Season 7 Week 1 grand final
Rogue are the first team to advance to the ECS Season 7 Week 1 grand finals, where they will look to earn a spot in the ECS Season 7 LAN finals by taking on the winner of the second semifinal matchup between compLexity and NRG.
Rogue made short work of Luminosity in their semifinal matchup, kicking off their own pick of Inferno by taking seven uncontested rounds. Once Luminosity finally got a round on the board, Rogue dealt them a swift economic reset and went on to grab an additional trio of rounds before the Brazilians finally managed to grab their second, with Rogue once again returning fire with another three rounds to dominate the half 13-2.
Luminosity managed to add a third round to their tally with a second half pistol victory, but Daniel "vice" Kim took great pleasure in demolishing their hopes as he helped his team to a 16-3 victory, ending the first map with 132 ADR and a 1.74 rating.
It was a similar story on Train, although Luminosity managed a 3-0 lead at the start of the map before Rogue began their stranglehold. The Rogue trio of vice, Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen, and Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen then combined to grant Rogue eight rounds straight, with Luminosity managing just one final round of their own before Rogue swept through the rest of the map for a 16-4 win.
Rogue now reside in the ECS Season 7 Week 1 grand finals, where they await the winner of the second semifinal match between compLexity and NRG. That matchup is set to commence at 6 PM EDT tomorrow, with the winner taking on Rogue for an ECS Season 7 LAN finals spot the following day.
