ELEAGUE announces return in January
ELEAGUE have announced that CS:GO would be returning to ELEAGUE in January. The organizer's last CS:GO tournament was the ELEAGUE Premier 2018, which took place in July.
In between then and now, ELEAGUE has run tournaments in Street Fighter V, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Rocket League. It is unclear exactly what will take place in January with CS:GO, whether it be another Premier tournament, or something entirely different.
Additionally, Cloud9's comeback against FaZe at the Boston 2018 Major was voted as Esports Moment of the Year at the Game Awards earlier this month.
The announcement follows on the heels of ESL revealing that the next season of ESL Pro League will be played on LAN in Europe and North America, which has drawn comparison to the original ELEAGUE seasons.
Also slated to take place in January are the Minors for IEM Katowice, as well as the iBUYPOWER Masters 2019.
