MIBR invited to BLAST Pro Series Sao Paulo
MIBR are the first team to receive an invite to the first BLAST Pro Series event of 2019, heading home to Brazil to play in Sao Paulo. With rumors circling about MIBR looking to trade Jake "Stewie2K" Yip for Epitacio "TACO" de Melo and Wilton "zews" Prado, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's side may be playing in front of their home crowd with a full-Brazilian lineup once again in the new year.
As with other BLAST Pro Series stops, another five invites will be distributed over the coming months. Additionally, two more BLAST events have been revealed, with the Pro Series set to head to Miami from April 12-13 and then to Madrid from May 10-11. Another five BLAST Pro Series stops for 2019 will be revealed in the coming year.
Before teams head to Miami or Madrid however, they'll look to take down MIBR on home territory in Sao Paulo from Match 22-23, with the winner taking home $250,000. MIBR will attend their fifth consecutive BLAST Pro Series tournament in Sao Paulo, having already been invited to and played in all of the BLAST events this year.
MIBR ended their run at BLAST Pro Series Lisbon in fourth place, fielding Braxton "swag" Pierce in place of Fernando "fer" Alvarenga. They are next slated to compete in the IEM Katowice Major in Februrary of next year, although the team may choose to attend other events should they make a roster change headed into 2019.
