fer set to miss BLAST Pro Series Lisbon
Fernando "fer" Alvarenga has revealed that he will be missing out on MIBR's final event of the year, BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, due to the event clashing with upcoming ear surgery.
This was announced in a video interview, above, with FACEIT during the ECS Season 6 Finals, before team manager Ricardo "dead" Sinigaglia confirmed to ESPN Esports Brasil that fer will be headed to his home country to undergo the surgery, scheduled for December 14th, after the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, which will wrap up on December 9th. How long the accomplished rifler will be spending on the sidelines has not been announced.
This will be the second time surgery for fer has meant missing out on competition in as many years. Back in 2016, the Brazilian spent two months out after undergoing treatment on his nose and ear. A replacement for fer is yet to be announced, however dead confirmed in the ESPN Esports Brasil article that using current oNe substitute and former teammate Lincoln "fnx" Lau is not an option. There is potential that the team could utilize Ricardo "boltz" Prass, who is still under contract with MIBR.
