WARDELL re-signs with Ghost on a multi-year deal
Ghost has announced that it has signed a new multi-year contract with Matthew "WARDELL" Yu, who currently acts as the team's primary AWPer. The team has seen a meteoric rise in recent months, reaching #3 in our Dust2.us Top 10 rankings peaking at 22nd in HLTV's world rankings.
In the recent months, parallel to Ghost's rise to fame, WARDELL has become one of the star players of Ghost, pulling out impressive ratings and even carrying his team through crucial rounds at certain events.
The Canadian player's performance even caught the eye of other large North American organizations. According to a report from DBLTAP's Jarek "DeKay" Lewis, Cloud9 attempted to bring on Wardell as a replacement for Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham, but were ultimately turned down.
Ghost are currently second in ESL Pro League Season 8 and have already clinched a spot in the league's finals in Odense. Before they head off to Denmark however, they will stop by DreamHack Open Atlanta, with their opening match set to be against Vitality.
