mCe hints at Spacestation move
With the MDL playoffs set to play out in the coming weeks, Matthew "mCe" Elmore has strongly hinted at joining Spacestation, which would reunite him with Ryan "Snakes" Amann and Michael "Grim" Wince.
Spacestation has been on the search for a coach following the release of Teric "Bibby" Ingram and the team's restructuring under the new organization, which saw the additions of David "DAVEY" Stafford and Chad "Oderus" Miller.
mCe had previously been coaching Rogue for the better half of the year, having recently been relegated to the team's analyst following modest results in both online leagues. In October, mCe announced that he was open to coaching offers from other teams.
The coach previously also played for SoaR and Dignitas, whose original cores were similar to that of Spacestation's current roster.
With mCe on board, Spacestation's roster would look as such:
- Ryan "Snakes" Amann
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Chad "Oderus" Miller
- David "DAVEY" Stafford
- Matthew "mCe" Elmore (Coach)
- Logan "Voltage" Long (Streamer)
Spacestation ECS Season 6 in last place, which will see their demotion to the ECS Challenger Cup, where they will have to requalify for the ECS league. In MDL on the other hand, Spacestation have clinched a playoffs spot with a 14-5 record, putting them roughly in 4th place.
The team will also be attending the WESG USA regional finals, which begins tonight, featuring a $38,000 prize pool and only one spot at the WESG World Finals in Chongqing. It is not expected that mCe will be in attendance with the team.
