Spacestation return Bibby to Earth
Sources close to the team tell Dust2.us that Spacestation have parted ways with coach Teric "Bibby" Ingram just a week after announcing the signing of the former AZIO roster, which Bibby had been a part of ever since being brought on board in early August.
Spacestation officially signed the roster on October 10th, with the team going on to drop 0-2 to both eUnited and Cloud9 in ECS Season 6 in the following days. An overtime 16-19 loss to cantwinalan also added to their surprisingly lackluster results this week, however, they do remain in the running for CEVO's Gfinity Spring Series with a 2-0 win over Fam143 in the lower bracket semifinals, and are currently second in MDL with a 7-2 record.
Bibby has coached the trio of Ryan "Snakes" Amann, Logan "Voltage" Long, and Michael "Grim" Wince dating back to his time on SoaR, when the team earned a spot in Season 7 of ESL Pro League. Shortly afterwards, Bibby hopped on board with Etherian before eventually linking up with AZIO, leading to the formation of the current roster.
Dust2.us knows that the team are currently looking to revamp their coaching and support staff after the removal of Bibby.
This leaves Spacestation with the following crew:
- Trevor "FrostayK" Bandle
- Ryan "Snakes" Amann
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Logan "Voltage" Long
Spacestation have a best-of-three match against Infamous lined up tonight at 9 PM EDT for Gfinity Spring Series, where they'll look to snag a spot in the consolidation final against Mythic. The team is also slated to play against Blight in MDL tomorrow at 9 PM EDT, while their remaining ECS matches will take place in the first week of November.
