kRYSTAL feeling LeftOut
Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend has returned to Europe to play alongside Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom on the LeftOut mix in the second IEM Katowice Europe Minor open qualifier, putting an end to his saga in North America with Ghost and then Rogue. The German in-game leader was recently replaced by Danish import and former North captain Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen, initially leaving his future in NA uncertain.
kRYSTAL has been competing in NA since he was loaned to Ghost by Imperial in mid-August, attending ZOTAC Cup Masters Finals in Hong Kong and DreamHack Masters Stockholm with the squad after a bootcamp.
Ghost were able to reach the semifinals in Hong Kong after a 2-1 win over OpTic, but fell short against Kinguin just after. Their run in Stockholm was also cut short by NiP and Na`Vi in series play, although the team did manage an overtime win against the CIS squad in their opening matchup. During his month-long tenure with Rogue, kRYSTAL led the team to a 5-13 record in ESL Pro League Season 8 and an even 5-5 record for ECS Season 6.
With kRYSTAL's addition, LeftOut's roster for the IEM Katowice qualifier was as follows:
- Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom
- Mikail "Maikelele" Bill
- Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas
- Haakon "Radifaction" Tholo
- Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend
LeftOut were unable to make it to the Round of 16 in the second qualifier for the Europe Minor, falling to Nikola "Lobanjica" Mijomanović's cats mix in overtime on Cache in the Round of 64. It is unknown whether kRYSTAL intends to continue playing on the mix squad going forward.
