Report: Envy set to bench SEMPHIS, order up Pollo
According to a report from DBLTAP, Envy are set to bench Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen from the team's active lineup. The move comes following disappointing results in the ESL Pro League, with the team having only found one map so far into the season.
SEMPHIS was previously one of the three players that made up the core of boxr, who were later signed by Envy alongside Noah "Nifty" Francis and Josh "jdm64" Marzano. As SEMPHIS is currently acting as the team's in-game-leader, it can be presumed that the previously mentioned Nifty will take on the role going forward.
With the experienced in-game-leader set to be benched, Envy appear to be currently eyeing Matt "Pollo" Wilson as the team's permanent fifth. The former Ghost player has reportedly been practicing with the team and is considered one of the prime candidates to round out the American roster.
Envy are currently competing in ESL Pro League Season 8, where they are in last place with a 1-13 record. The team have yet to qualify for any events, however they were recently invited to the closed qualifier for the upcoming Americas Minor.
