International squads and Vireo.pro through to DreamHack Open Winter Closed Qualifier
The open qualifier for DreamHack Open Atlanta has concluded, and the advancing teams are Vireo.pro, INTZ, Bravado, and oNe.
As always, the open qualifier was not without drama, as Whatever It Takes received a forfeit win over Singularity due to the recently-signed team not showing up to the server on time.
Though WiT did advance to take on oNe, they did not put up much of a fight, as the Brazilians stomped on them to the tune of 16-3.
In the next quarter-final, Bravado handed Vision another rough loss.
cantwinalan were unable to win online as well, falling to Vireo.pro.
The lone close match of the final round saw the Brazilian sides of INTZ and FURIA duking it out on Cache. The Pro League side were narrowly able to emerge victorious over their countrymen, 16-13.
The match ups for tomorrow's Closed Qualifier, which will commence at 2 PM EDT are as follows:
eUnited | vs. | Vireo.pro |
Spacestation | vs. | INTZ |
Luminosity | vs. | Bravado |
Rogue | vs. | oNe |
Dust2.us knows that while eUnited will be playing their first matches with Pujan "FNS" Mehta since he joined the team, they will not be at full strength, on account of Kaleb "moose" Jayne attending the WESG Canada Regional Finals. Instead, the team will field Mitch "mitch" Semago.
Additionally, with rumors of Rogue having interest in Danish in-game leader Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen recently swirling, it will be interesting to see who they have in the server tomorrow. The team are currently signed up with Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend.
