DAVEY and Oderus board Spacestation
After joining Spacestation last week following a schism with AZIO, the team have made their first major roster change, adding David "DAVEY" Stafford and cantwinalan's Chad "Oderus" Miller to their ESEA roster. The two players are expected to replace Trevor "FrostayK" Bandle and Logan "Voltage" Long on the team's active roster.
With the organization revamping their coaching and support staff, as we had previously reported yesterday, it is likely the change is a result of the organization smoothing out their newfound roster.
DAVEY was last seen playing for ex-Splyce — also known as boxr — in the Closed Qualifier for the most recent Americas Minor. After departing the team, who would go on to sign with Envy, the Canadian in-game-leader briefly trialed with ex-Diginitas, but remained teamless after the roster disbanded shortly after.
Oderus moves over to Spacestation from cantwinalan, who are currently searching for their fifth player. Interestingly, cantwinalan and Spacestation played against each other last week in the MDL regular season, with Oderus going 33-21 against the sponsored team.
Spacestation's roster is now:
- Ryan "Snakes" Amann
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Chad "Oderus" Miller
- David "DAVEY" Stafford
- Logan "Voltage" Long (Streamer)
As for the departing players, Voltage has stated that he will be once again focusing on school, as well as streaming for the organization.
FrostayK has a slightly less optimistic take on the situation, with the player updating his Twitter banner to an iPhone reminder reading "kill yourself, you are worthless", and posting the following tweet:
The player is not totally worthless, however, as he has already joined the Gorilla Gang ESEA roster, though it is unknown in what capacity.
