ESEA Season 25 Premier North America Concludes

The 25th Season of ESEA Premier, which ran from June to the end of August, has finished with Rise Nation winning the final over District 7 in a convincing two map series. Rise Nation, District 7, and the 3rd place team, Mythic, have all secured spots at the upcoming ESEA S25 Global Challenge LAN, which will take place at the end of September.

During the regular season, we saw high performing teams like Rise Nation, Down To Frag (now Mask Off), Miami Flamingos e-Sports (now Gale Force Esports), RONIN, Mythic, District 7, and Eanix (now Naventic) make the playoffs. Many notable teams such as Denial, subtLe, and Pnda (now Muffin Lightning) failed to make the playoffs, but maintained their spots for the next season.

The first match of the playoffs was Down To Frag vs Eanix, which the latter won fairly easily on two maps thanks to a big performance by Daniel “impsta” Whaley. Rise Nation then took on Nitrious Gaming, who notably house Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowski. This was a closer game than the last, but Rise Nation still came away the clear victor. Everyone’s favorite stream team Mythic took care of business against RONIN, and a Keven “PL1” Champagne-powered District 7 stomped Gale Force.

The Rise Nation train didn’t stop in the semifinals as Will “dazzLe” Loafman and co. easily took down Mythic. District 7, despite an overtime, trumped Eanix on two maps. The third place match, easily the closest game of the entire playoffs, favored a Mythic team that had just returned from the ESL run PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS tournament. It took a carry-worthy performance from Erik “fl0m” Flom to put them over the edge in the end.

The final was truly a testament of the dominance of Rise Nation as District 7 only managed 8 rounds on two maps against Andy “vSa” Xu’s men. These top 3 teams will compete at the ESEA Global Challenge alongside teams from Europe, Australia, and Brazil.
