Bravado secure final EPICENTER Closed Qualifier space
The final EPICENTER Moscow 2018 open qualifier has concluded, and the final result sees the South Africans of Bravado who see themselves take the final place in the upcoming closed qualifier.
The semifinal and final of the fourth open qualifer were best-of-three affairs, apart from the semifinal between Fam143 and Bravado, with the former team forfeiting the game due to being unable to field a full team.
This means the first, and only, game to be played in that round was the semifinal between iNTACT and LiviD, which were two fairly one-sided affairs. Overpass was up first, with Michael "Turismo" Haas leading the scores for his team with a 107.3 ADR, as they secured a 16-7 win on the map. Nuke came next with a 16-6 win, with Turismo taking a 2.32 rating on the map, after a dominant second half display.
The final was then between iNTACT and Bravado, with the two teams fighting a close series. The American team took first blood, taking Nuke 16-11 after an extremely close first half display between the two teams. Inferno followed with another slog fest, with Bravado avoiding missing out on securing a closed qualifier spot after overturning a 10-5 half time deficit for a 16-13 win. The third and final map, Train, was a similar state of affairs for Bravado, with the South Africans yet again overturning a 10-5 first half deficit to claim a 16-12 win.
The invites for the closed qualifier are still to be announced, but we can assume NRG are on of the invited teams due to them confirming the use of Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert as stand-in for the closed qualifier. As such, the teams are as follows.
BlackOut | FURIA |
Swole Patrol | Bravado |
NRG | Invite |
The dates for the EPICENTER Moscow 2018 North America closed qualifiers are still to be announced, however they would appear to clash with the New Challengers stage of the FACEIT London Major.
