Cloud9 to IEM Chicago qualifier grand finals, eUnited and Swole Patrol remain
Picking up where the previous day left off, the second round of matches in the lower bracket kicked off, with Swole Patrol and Vision taking on BlackOut and oNe respectively.
After contesting Cloud9 and eliminating Bravado, BlackOut were in exceptional form going up against Swole Patrol on Nuke. In the first half, both teams took five straight rounds off each other, bringing the score to 5-5 before Swole Patrol came out on top 9-6 at the end of the half. BlackOut rebounded, tying up the score and nearly reached match point at 14-11. Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro pushed back, taking four crucial rounds to bring Swole Patrol to match point 15-14, but Connor "CONNOR93" Glover pushed the game into overtime with a clutch in the 30th round.
In overtime, Swole Patrol's prowess on the T-side allowed them to swipe two rounds in the first half, bringing them in the lead 17-16. The second half proved to be more disastrous for BlackOut, as Swole Patrol handily took two rounds on the CT side to close out the map 19-16.
BlackOut and Swole Patrol continued to be neck-and-neck, with both teams trading rounds in the first half of Overpass. Ultimately, Swole Patrol gained a narrow lead at the end of the half, with an 8-7 scoreline. BlackOut took back the lead in the second half, before letting it slip to Zellsis, who continued to be a standout player for Swole Patrol. Following a five round streak and two round losses, Swole Patrol closed the map 16-12 and took the series 2-0, eliminating BlackOut and proceeding to the lower bracket final.

In the other lower bracket semi-final, Vision's new roster took on oNe. Cache kicked off the series, with Vision taking a strong lead in the first half, ending 11-4. oNe returned the favor, bringing the first map into overtime. Jake "kaboose" McDonald and Pedro "Maluk3" Campos led their teams through triple overtime, before Vision finally powered through oNe, ending the map in their favor at 25-22.
Nuke followed suit, with Vision taking the lead once again in the first half 9-6 and oNe taking back the lead in the second half. Despite kaboose continuing to perform exceptionally against the Brazilian team, Vision were unable to bring the game into overtime and oNe narrowly tied up the series by taking the second map 16-14.
The pattern continued into the third map, with Vision taking the lead at halftime with a 9-6 scoreline. Continuing his strong performance, kaboose led his team through the second half, just barely avoiding overtime and skirting past oNe 16-14.

Moving to the upper bracket, Cloud9 took on eUnited. In spite of the high expectations put upon by the former Major champions, eUnited stomped Cloud9 on Overpass, swiftly taking the map 16-3.
Cloud9 found their form on their map pick of Inferno, overwhelming eUnited in the first half, with Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham utilizing his AWPing capabilities to bring the score 11-4. eUnited attempted to turn the map in their favor, but were shut out by Cloud9, who wrapped up the map 16-9.
With Mirage being the decider, eUnited pulled out a strong performance in the first half, taking eight rounds in a row, ending the half with a strong 9-6 scoreline. Despite a promising pistol round, Martin "STYKO" Styk came into his own in the second half, leading Cloud9 through their own eight-round streak and bringing the map in their favor 16-13, ultimately giving them the series 2-1 and knocking down eUnited.

In the final series of the day, Swole Patrol and Vision met each other in the lower bracket final to decide who would take on eUnited in the consolation final. Akin to other matches in the bracket, Swole Patrol and Vision remained closely matched on Nuke, with both teams taking only a minor lead in both halves. In overtime, Swole Patrol ultimately came out victorious, with Vision only able to piece together one round, giving Swole Patrol the first map 19-16.
Deviating from the trend, Swole Patrol started off strong on Overpass, with a 10-5 lead at halftime. Conversely, Vision tied up the score in the second half in a similar fashion, bringing the map into overtime once again. Swole Patrol swiftly took overtime with yet another 19-16 scoreline, giving them the series 2-0 and eliminating Vision.

Swole Patrol continue onto the consolation final, where they are set to contest eUnited for a spot in the grand finals, where Cloud9 awaits. The winner of the grand finals will ultimately proceed to IEM Chicago, which is set to begin on November 6th.
