Report: EnVyUs in talks with boxr core; look to add jdm64
The future of the remaining boxr trio may be with the North American organization of EnVyUs, according to a report from Jarek "DeKay" Lewis of DBLTAP. The organization has been without a Counter-Strike team since releasing their French roster at the end of June, assuring fans that they would remain in CS:GO and were on the hunt for a North American squad.
The former Splyce trio of Taylor "Drone" Johnson, Kory "Semphis" Friesen and Stephen "reltuC" Cutler have been looking to fill two empty roster slots ever since the departure of David "DAVEY" Stafford. Dust2.us can confirm that the team is looking to Josh "jdm64" Marzano to fill one of the vacant slots, with the final player still unknown.
The ex-Splyce squad have been without an organization since Splyce pulled out of CS:GO in late April. As a league source has confirmed to Dust2.us that the team's core would retain the spot, it would pass to EnVyUs in the event they picked up the team.
With the organization change and new additions, EnVyUs' new prospective roster looks to be:
- Taylor "Drone" Johnson
- Kory "Semphis" Friesen
- Stephen "reltuC" Cutler
- Josh "jdm64" Marzano
- Zachary "Eley" Stauffer (Coach)
ESL Pro League Season 8 is set to begin on October 2nd, though ex-Splyce's first match is currently set to be against Liquid on October 5th. The WESA transfer window is currently set to close September 27th, and is not expected to be pushed back yet again.
