BASE dives in for Excelerate in Waves Qualifier
DaneJoris unable to play Waves qualifier; Mentality teammate BASE to sub.
Dust2.us has learned Excelerate are making a change for the Waves Gaming qualifier by swapping out Keanu "DaneJoris" Reyes for his Mentality teammate Colton "BASE" Musella. DaneJoris unfortunately had a personal conflict and will be unable to participate in the tournament.
Excelerate had been trialing the ex-Vikings duo Casey "SideStep" Hartzler and Corbin "C0M" Lee initially, before switching out the latter for DaneJoris.
With the change, Excelerate's roster for the Waves Gaming qualifier looks as such:
Thomas "tconnors" Connors
Jonathan "djay" Dallal- Michael "agM" Abood
- Casey "SideStep" Hartzler (Trial)
- Colton "BASE" Musella (Stand-In)
- Corey "ruin" Hartog (Coach)
Excelerate are one of only 18 teams that signed up for the 2-day tournament, with the bracket beginning today at 3 PM EST. The qualifier will be streamed on the Waves E-Gaming Twitch channel.
