Esports Arena announces Best of The Bay in Oakland
Esports Arena's Oakland location has released details of their newest community LAN event. The Best of The Bay event will feature up to 16 teams and take place on July 21st.
With sixteen teams, four teams will each play in four groups, with each group playing in a best-of-one round robin and the top two teams proceeding to the playoffs. The playoffs will be played in a single-elimination bracket, with each series being best-of-three, including the grand finals.
Being hosted by Esports Arena Oakland, the event will provide PC's and monitors, but will require peripherals to be supplied by the players.
Signups are currently open on Matcherino on a first-come first-serve basis. The event's team pass costs $175, with ESA Oakland stating that the entirety of the entry fee contributes to the tournament's prize pool. Signups are set to close on July 21st at 1:00 AM EDT.
Esports Arena's last event saw Paul "pauLy" Guerboyan make a trimphant return in a hospital gown midway through the tournament, with his team taking the win in Oakland after a two map grand final.
