SHiPZ stepped up for Windigo

Windigo take the win over Torqued

The Bulgarians came back and shut down steel and co. on their way to the playoffs in Leicester.

Windigo have defeated Torqued in the Group B decider at the ESEA Season 27 Global Challenge 2-1 and have advanced to the playoffs, ending a disappointing run in Leicester for the North American side.

Torqued's pick of Inferno resulted in domination for the North American team, as they led the first half from the T side and acquired 12 rounds going into the side switch. With Kenneth "koosta" Suen's AWPing prowess, Torqued then managed to close out the first map fairly easily 16-6.

The second map also started quite well for Joshua "steel" Nissan's men, as they put up another big Terrorist half 10-5 on Overpass.  They weren't able to transfer the momentum to the second half however, and Windigo mounted a huge comeback. Powerful performances from Nikolay "pNshr" Paunin and Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov helped the Bulgarian side take map two 16-11.

Once again the North Americans proved their offensive side expertise and racked up a 9-6 lead on the decider match of Mirage. Windigo veteran Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov stepped up right when needed, and helped his team to pull off the victory, taking the final map 16-11 and the series 2-1.

They'll be disheartened they couldn't show good form when it mattered the most, but yeah they showed they can tighten it up for their upcoming international events

Just do not feel that Torqued are good at CT side at all. Their T side is outstanding, but it doesn’t matter if they just give up the lead later imo.
