stanislaw opens up on time at OpTic
Two-time former OpTic IGL Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz has released a statement through TwitLonger today that goes into further detail about his and Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan's time with the organization. The Canadian player teased such a reveal in a previous tweet of his.
In the statement he explains how Jacob "Maelk" Toft-Anderson, Chief Gaming Director at OpTic's parent company Infinite Esports and Entertainment, initially brought him on as "an integral part of his plans for the future". He later explained that the team began well, with all issues aired between the team members and "improvements were made."
Due to technical issues at their office, the players moved out of a communal training area and into personal apartments. From there, stanislaw states it started to go wrong. "[T]he division amongst the team started to become apparent" he states, adding that the Danish contingent of the team started speaking in their native tongue instead of communicating in the shared language of English.
From there the issues came to a boil, with the team's recent struggles mentioned and solutions not succeeding, including René "cajunb" Borg flirting with the IGL role. It is eventually revealed that he and Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke were the main instigators of the issues, with the two Danes also courting a potential move back to Europe.
It finishes with stanislaw stating that although a shame to leave OpTic once again, he was "happy to leave behind teammates who do not respect me enough to tell me the truth".
