di and CLG Red overpower Dignitas fe in Copenhagen
CLG Red have returned, knocking Dignitas fe out at the quarterfinals stage of Copenhagen Games 2018.
Two relatively simple maps for Diane "di" Tran's side were all it took to secure a semifinals slot. Cache was all CLG Red's map, as they only dropped three rounds on their entire CT-side for a 12-3 lead before securing the win in the second half 16-3. This map saw di on fire, picking up a 2.19 HLTV rating at the top of the leaderboards.
Nuke was slightly closer, but Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie's side were unable to push back against CLG Red after they secured another 12-3 half. Although Dignitas started to return to life in the second half, it was only after their opponents had secured map point, so inevitably CLG Red went through with a 16-7 win.
This victory sees CLG Red through to the semifinals against Petra "Petra" Stoker and Singularity, which could potentially line them up for a game against RES in the final assuming other results fall their way. di and Petra are currently the two highest rated players in the tournament.
The series saw di shine for CLG Red whereas the Dignitas' usual stars of GooseBreeder and Amanda "rain" Smith flamed out.
