Ghost Academy add gMd; ShoT_UP quits CS
Just two days after bringing in Mike "dapr" Gulino, Ghost Academy have made another roster change, this time swapping Anthony "gMd" Guimond of FRENCH CANADIANS fame with Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski, who has stated he is quitting the game.
The move is not surprising, as ShoT_UP is someone who has been vocal about his dislike of the game for some time, which he elaborated on in a lengthy TwitLonger. The player showed up to the ESEA MDL Global Challenge with only a handful of hours played in the weeks leading up to the event.
Speaking of his departure from the team, ShoT_UP said he believes it will help the team on the whole:
It's not only better for me mentally having quit - but better for my teammates. While many of us would leave mumble as soon as practice was done, the others would at least be actively trying to improve and succeed during practice. While my performance on average was around that of my teammates, I can't say that I've been doing the same. In my opinion, I brought down the type of an environment that a scrim should be, because I'd openly say that it's not possible for me to try because I straight up don't want to be there.
With the most recent change, Ghost Academy's roster is now:
- Jarod "Douglas" Onorato
- Bryan "MAKKA" Drouillard
- Chad "Oderus" Miller
- Mike "dapr" Gulino
- Anthony "gMd" Guimond
- Jason "neptune" Tran (Inactive)
The team's first matches of ESEA MDL Season 27 are currently scheduled to take place on January 25th, where they have a double-header lined up against Mythic and CheckSix.
