With EliGE approaching the twilight of his career, Jason Lake is realistic about COL's ability to hold onto the star

Jason Lake: "If EliGE can find a [top] organization... we'll do our best to make it happen"

Signs point to EliGE eyeing an exit from Complexity in 2025.

On the most recent episode of the Four Horsemen, a talk show hosted by esports legends Richard Lewis, Duncan "Thorin" Shields, and Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles, the trio invited Complexity's owner and legend in his own right Jason Lake on to discuss the state of the Counter-Strike heading into 2025. During the podcast, Jason Lake provided some key insight on Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski's future with the American organization in 2025.

In the clip, Lake comments on EliGE's headspace saying that the NA star is looking for a team that provides him the opportunity to win massive trophies and that his "biological clock" is ticking, with the 27-year-old realistically only having a few more years as a top pro. With this, Lake said that after discussing the matter with EliGE, the Complexity organization are open to selling the player to a top organization and focus on rebuilding with young talent.

The full quote from Lake is:

We're definitely not a prison here. If Jon can find an organization that can right now fight to be in the top three consistently, we'll do our best to make it happen for him and take whatever buyout we can get for him.

Lake's comment comes as EliGE have gone 5+ years without a big trophy, last winning IEM Chicago 2019 with Liquid, while Complexity itself has struggled to find major results and is set to rebuild, having recently benched Ricky "floppy" Kemery post-Major.

Adding fuel to the fire is EliGE's announcement that he has signed with a new agent for 2025, with EliGE's exit from Complexity now seeming far from an impossibility in the transfer season.
