CrePoW at Fragadelphia x Tap 2

CrePoW on coming to the US: "We like to play CS, but we wanted to get an education"

The European imports appreciate what the university system has to offer.

Fragadelphia x Tap 2 is over, with Fisher Tsunami coming away with a monumental win in the final over timbermen. The collegiate team has become increasingly interesting with the recent inclusion of European talents like Alexander "AlekS" Andersson, Nils "ReFuZR" Groot, and now Milan "CrePoW" Libbrecht, who hail from Sweden, the Netherlands, and Belgium, respectively.

However, playing Counter-Strike is not the only motivation for these players to come to the United States. As CrePoW explains, there was a draw to studying at a University and earning a degree. He spoke with Dust2.us' Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore at the end of day one about his decision to come to the United States, what the team is like, and how he wouldn't be here without ReFuZR taking the leap first.

You can watch the full interview below while also reading a few snippets from the conversation.

You're a recent addition to the Fisher Esports collegiate roster. What was behind your decision to come here?

Me and Nils "ReFuZR" Groot had the same opportunity and we were like, "If you're going I'm going". We both ended up going to Fisher. We liked to play CS, but we wanted to get an education and the best opportunity would be to come to America to get our college funded and play CS at the same time. It's perfect!

Would you have come if ReFuZR didn't pave the way first?

Probably not. We did agree at the same time and we wanted to go at the same time, but for some reasons he came first. We agreed at the same time - the last semester - that we would come here.

What are studying while here in America?

I am studying project management and that's what I want to do. I'm not entirely sure yet, but somewhere along those lines.

The lineup is now a majority-European roster. What is your opinion of your American teammates corn and tatm?

For corn, he's an anchor player and playing the shitty roles right now. He's doing his job, so I'm happy with how he is playing and doing things people don't want to do. Matthew is a very bubbly guy and good for the team morale. We are looking forward to what we can do.
