EMUHLEET after a disappointing ESL Impact Season 6: "I'm very hopeful for our future"

Blue Otter Karma will need to qualify through the open qualifiers.

Blue Otter Karma was present in Fragadelphia x Tap 2 in full force but could not exit the group stage, where they met timbermen and Leftovers. After exiting the event, Emmalee "EMUHLEET" Garrido talked with Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore about the team's performance in Philly and Karma's performance during ESL Impact Season 6.

The duo discussed some tech issues that occurred during the Fragadelphia event and briefly discussed the shocking roster moves TSM Impact underwent during ESL Impact Season 6.

Unfortunate end to your run here with a 0-2 exit. In spite of that, how do you feel about the team's performance?

To be honest, I'm very disappointed. We worked really hard and it didn't show at this event and we came all the way over here with disappointing results. I have to be brutally honest, I'm not proud of how we played at all, we just need to do better.

What do you think that came down to? Was it the lack of LAN experience for some of the younger players, was it preparation?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of things out of our control, for instance during the first day our computers were having really bad FPS drops during really crucial rounds, we were lagging out. It's just unfortunate technical issues. Nothing against Frag, it's just stuff that's difficult to control that really messed up whatever momentum that we had and just lagging out during certain situations was just not easy to go back on.

Looking at your run in ESL Impact Season 6, Blue Otter Karma finished with a 2-5 record, which means you will have to qualify through the open qualifiers for Season 7. What do you think went wrong this season for the squad?

A lot went wrong this season. It's difficult working full time as a nurse, me I get up at 6am and then I rush home for practice and we put in time, we practice about six hours, five days a week. It's exhausting overall but we have been using a ringer because Amanda "rain" Smith has been focusing on school, so she hasn't been playing with us full time at the moment. I think that really set us back and that also we picked up Anna "buhnny" Cheung really last moment. Really unfortunate for us and, honestly, I'm just extremely disappointed, that's the worst I have ever done in my career but you have to get really low to get back up. I'm very hopeful for our future, we just have to go back to the drawing board.
