Creators hit with year-long trade ban for XP farming

Don't try to cheat the system, folks.

Well, that didn't last long. Valve has officially banned several people who participated in a glitched Deathmatch server that awarded several Armory Pass Stars in only one simple match.

Creators like aquaismissing, Arrow, duwap, and FURIOUSSS have all reportedly been banned, with Auqaismissing saying that the ban was "fair" considering the actions.

To learn more about the glitched deathmatch lobby and how creators were able to earn more stars, YouTuber Anomaly posted a video about the server, in which he also participated.

The Armory Pass has been out for nearly a week now, and many have celebrated and criticized Valve's new content venture. It is admittedly more focused on collecting potential skins than the previous Operations. Whether you're playing a marathon of competitive matches or just a few deathmatches, you'll earn Armor Pass progress.

Each pass lets you earn up to 40 Armory Credits, which can be spent on items in the Armory. However, you can own and activate up to five Armory Passes at once, letting you earn progress on all five simultaneously.

Armory Credits cannot be bought, traded, or sold, and the items in the Armory can only be acquired with Armory Credits.

Here's what you can spend Armory Credits on:

  • 25 Credits on a limited edition Heat Treated Desert Eagle (available only until Jan. 3, 2025)

  • 3 Credits on a random Charm

  • 4 Credits on a random skin from one of the three new collections: Overpass, Graphic, or Sport & Field

  • 2 Credits on the new Gallery Case

  • 1 Credit on a random sticker form the new Elemental Craft or Character Craft collections
