CS2 fans praise movement changes in Armory update
Several aspects of Counter-Strikes 2's latest Armory update may be divisive, but most if not all player are pretty happy with the updates to model movement.
The update fixed "wide/scissor leg posing when traversing," so the legs of the character model no longer massively lag behind when moving side to side, and this change is especially notable when strafing back and forth.
The weird leg pop animation from jumping, crouch jumping, landing from a fall, and moving with slow moving weapons has also been smoothed out. Overall the game feels more fluid, with many believing the movement feels closer to CS:GO than before.
The update is not without its issues though. Players are reporting more instances of error codes replacing various models, in addition to a substantial drop in FPS.
Complexity star Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski appears to be quite pleased with the changes, saying on X that Valve "looks like they are fixing a lot of the feel of the game," and speculating that the movement changes could make holding angles easier now.
While the changes to in-game content might be more divisive, most player reactions to the movement changes made in the Armory update are strikingly positive.
