Fragicago 2024 Day Three Live Blog

timbermen and Nouns are heavy favorites on this final day of competition.

The semifinals of Fragicago 2024 has arrived with four ESL Challenger League teams left standing. With timbermen and Nouns being the heavy favorites it will be interesting to see if they plow through Limitless and Take Flyte, or if the underdogs can find glory at the Scrims Esports Center.

As always, Dust2.us' Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore is back to bring you the action as some of NA's top teams are in attendance and fighting for the $10,000 prize pot.

10:40PM - Nouns cruise to Fragicago victory!

Nouns have topped Fragicago with a 2-0 win over timbermen, largely dominating on Nuke as they smashed the orgless squad. As heavy favorites, Nouns have completed the job they were here to do, with flying colors.

10:31PM - Nouns secure Mirage despite timbermen's comeback effort

Nouns have taken Mirage 13-8 despite a dogged effort from timbermen to force overtime. The series will now head onto Nouns' map pick of Nuke.

09:55PM - Grand finals kicks off

After a brief tech delay due to an issue with one of the production PCs, timbermen versus Nouns has began, with the series starting on Mirage.

08:54PM - BHOP and Akimbo agree to split Big L prizepool

BHOP and Akimbo have agreed to split the prizepool for the Big L side tournament due to Akimbo having a match in ESEA Advanced Season 50 playoffs tonight against undefined. With this, both teams take home $450 after a day of CS action.

10:48PM - timbermen make the finals, setting up expected grand finals

timbermen have answered back on Mirage, claiming the map 13-6 to force a grand finals showdown between timbermen and Nouns, a matchup many saw coming that will be exciting none the less.

08:00PM - timbermen answer back

timbermen have forced a third map by winning Ancient 13-5. The action now moves onto Mirage.

07:10PM - Take Flyte claim map pick

Take Flyte have struck the first blow in the series versus timbermen, winning Anubis 13-11.

06:18PM - timbermen versus Take Flyte set to start

The second semifinal series is set to start in short order, with the three maps being: Anubis, Ancient, and Mirage.

05:13PM - Nouns 2-1 Limitless

Nouns have avoided a potential upset by besting Limitless 13-8 on Mirage to secure the 2-0 win. They will now case the winner of Take Flyte versus timbermen in the finals.

Limitless have continued to be highly competitive against Nouns, winning their CT-side 7-5 as the final map of the semifinal series reaches its conclusion.

04:52PM - Limitless take the knife round on Mirage

Mirage is now live as Limitless topped the knife round, with the map deciding who will head into the finals.

04:35PM - Nouns even it up against Limitless

Nouns have answered back against Limitless, winning Ancient 13-5 with little difficulty.

03:53PM - Limitless 1-0 Nouns

Limitless have claimed their map pick, Inferno, 13-9 against Nouns, taking the lead in a series where they are heavy underdogs. The action will move to Ancient as Nouns look to answer back.

02:13PM - Nouns start in the lead against Limitless

Nouns have began their semifinals match against Limitless, taking an early lead against the underdog squad.

01:31PM - Semifinals set to start in one hour

The third and final day of Fragicago 2024 will be kicking off in short order, with the two semifinal matches being:

  • United States timbermen vs. Take Flyte United States

  • United States Nouns vs. Limitless United States

In the background the $900 winner takes all Big L side tournament is also running, with teams knocked out in the first two days playing for a nice consolation prize.
