Mapcore contest whittled down to 57 maps for second stage

Which will be the next best creator map?

After two weeks of voting, the first stage of Mapcore's Big Adventures contest has finally reached the next stage with 57 maps selected to move forward.

The original ask for the contest was that mapmakers needed to create an original 5v5 bomb defusal or hostage-rescure map. The first stage allowed all creators to submit an entry that would be judged based on the "Fun Factor" and "Originality".

Additionally, the submitted maps did not need to be fully fleshed out - they could be barebones and include the untextured style.

This next stage is called the Refinement Stage, where maps from the initial entry will be polished after feedback from the community. Creators will need to edit, re-edit, and finish these maps to become the best possible before being judged once more.

From then on, the maps will be rotated into the Mapcore FACEIT hubs, where players can experience them firsthand.

These maps must be submitted by next February, with the Grand Finals beginning in April. The contest judges include Conner "Scrawny" Girvan, Mohan "launders" Govindasamy, Alex "Mauisnake" Ellenberg, and Anders Blume.
