Complexity crushed by AWPless HEROIC
It was a brutal defeat for Complexity who remain winless so far in the second half of 2024 as they fell to a HEROIC that needed to use coach Eetu "sAw" Saha as Abdulkhalik "degster" Gasanov was unable to make it to the match in time.
The Americans have struggled to find their form coming out of the summer break as they suffered losses to Virtus.pro and M80 at the Esports World Cup and have now fallen 0-2 in their match against HEROIC in what should have been a very winnable game.
Complexity fans should have been excited for the veto seeing as the squad were able to get both Vertigo and Anubis on the board and as mentioned before, their opponent's emphatic AWPer was no where to be found on the server.
Ancient was a difficult map for the Americans as they quickly fell behind 0-5 before somehow scrambling together a 6-6 half. By winning the second round pistol, things were looking up, only for HEROIC to quickly bounce back and string together seven rounds in a row to take their map pick 13-8.
Vertigo should have been the comfortable rebound for Complexity, but just like Ancient, the team struggled to get going in the beginning. Complexity only managed four T-side rounds as they went down 4-8 at the half and looked like they would be tossed aside. The team bounced back once they got to the CT-side where they managed to be first to twelve rounds. HEROIC pulled out two vital round wins at the end to get to overtime where they finally broke through the Americans' defenses and secured a 16-14 win to go 2-0.
Complexity, having lost their opening match, are set to play against OG tomorrow at 08:30AM.
