Springroll join voLante and add Cyrix
Springroll have linked up with voLante and added McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison as their fifth to round out their roster. The team were on the lookout for a new member after Marshall "Minus" Sedowicz left to join ATK on November 24th.
This move sees Cyrix return to Premier after being cut from ATK on November 13th. Since then, Cyrix briefly linked up with Unjustified down in Advanced on November 16th before leaving the team on November 27th in pursuit of new opportunities.
Cyrix made his debut with the squad during the first ESL Challenger Anaheim 2022 open qualifier.
This new look lineup will be playing on the recently revived voLante. The organization originally folded in 2019 but has returned and signed contracts with the team. Despite their Twitter page being incredibly barren, the team's owner Greg Venezia told Dust2.us that the organization is looking to reboot their social media and try to launch some apparel next year.
voLante's return ended up being quite fortunate for the lineup as they would otherwise be unable to add Cyrix. As noted in Jeremy "taiwi" Wang's tweet below on the matter, the squad had to be under some form of contract for ESL to be willing to grant Cyrix a special exception to play for the team. This is due to Cyrix having already played for two EPT teams in the past 120 days: ONET4P and ATK.
As noted in section 1.2.1.1 of the ESL Pro Tour CS:GO Transfer Rules there is a special mechanism for organizations, but not orgless teams, to add players if they can prove the move is permanent.
voLante are now:
- Graham "GRAHAM" Smith
- Jeremy "taiwi" Wang
- Garret "garret" Henry
- Andrew "Tender" Cote
- McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison
- Trong "piepiepoppin" Nghia Dao (Coach)
voLante will make their debut in ESEA Premier Season 39 against Extra Salt on December 5th at 8PM EST.
