Detonate sign new roster with regain core
After parting ways with their previous roster on June 9th, Detonate have returned with the signing of a new roster last night. The Atlanta-based organization's new squad consists of the core of regain, comprised of Alexander "sasha" Burke, Eric "Zucar" Zuccaro, Raymon "rayxts" Mando, alongside former Akimbo player Halen "Halen" Lang and former Limitless player Nikolaos "PoseidoNN" Antoniou.
While Detonate had initially targeted an ESL Challenger League roster for their next venture, they eventually switched gears to this roster featuring a mix of experienced ESEA Advanced players. sasha and co. have made ESEA Advanced playoffs on multiple occasions while playing under the regain tag, with the team also being invited to ESL Challenger League Season 47 Relegation last season.
Halen, meanwhile, is a newcomer to the ESEA Advanced level, with the Canadian making playoffs for the first time last season with Akimbo before leaving the roster in mid-June to link up with regain. The final piece of the roster, PoseidoNN, returns to ESEA Advanced this season after spending last season with Limitless in ESL Challenger League Season 47. While that roster had an exceedingly poor season with a 5-23 record, the AWPer performed well in his first season of ECL and will hopefully be a star on this new roster.
Along with signing a new roster, Detonate have also hired Anthony "ynoT" Vitale as the team's new manager. The man of many roles in the scene, including coach, caster, player, and streamer, told Dust2.us that Detonate decided to sign an ESEA Advanced roster this season in order to establish a new project roster that they can hopefully guide up into ESL Challenger League.
