Austin joins Mythic
Mythic have announced the addition of Austin "Austin" Meadows to their ranks, seeing the streamer leave WICKED to join North America's premier steam team for ESL Challenger League Season 48. Austin joins Mythic following Nicholas "hate" Young's decision to step down from the squad back on June 27th.
Austin's addition to Mythic marks the culmination of the 22-year-old's efforts to transition into the world of Counter-Strike content creation after leaving Detonate in October 2023. His efforts have seen his presence on social media, especially on Twitch, where Austin boasts a consistent audience. As Mythic's first priority is as a steam team he will likely be a strong fit alongside the tenured members of the CS content creation space.
Along with joining Mythic, Austin is also set to make his return to ESL Challenger League after most recently playing in Season 44 with Davenport University. Austin's former team, WICKED, is set to rebuild following his departure, with David "dAVE" Karivalis telling Dust2.us that they are currently looking for an AWPer and a rifler.
