Community reacts to Liquid potentially removing cadiaN
Earlier today, HLTV reported that Liquid were looking to make changes following the conclusion of the Counter-Strike season at IEM Dallas 2024. Specifically, they reported that IGL and AWPer Casper "cadiaN" Møller was potentially on his way out, with further reporting from Luis Mira adding that "the atmosphere of the team is not positive".
The Counter-Strike community is shocked by the move, with many considering cadiaN a key piece in Liquid's roster and others more to blame for Liquid's failures in the last six months.
Others fully side with cadiaN, believing that either he needs more time to work with the squad, or the team has not given the IGL the environment he needs to truly succeed.
Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen posits that the team has too many voices with cadiaN, Wilton "zews" Prado, former IGL Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis, and star Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken all looking to contribute, leading to a structural clash.
Liquid's removal of cadiaN is far from confirmed, though, as HLTV reports the team is only looking into this possible seismic shift and a decision will not be made until after the conclusion of IEM Dallas, which begins on May 27th.
