WolfY and v1c leave Secret Club
After a strong start to ESEA Premier Season 37, Secret Club have seen their lineup reduced to just three players as Adam "WolfY" Andersson and Victor "v1c" T. have left the team, with the former returning to Sweden while the latter has decided to focus on VALORANT moving forward.
After forming this iteration of Secret Club on May 17th, the roster has had a number of strong performances, notably handing ChocoCheck their only loss of the Premier season so far while also boasting a 4-1 record. They also recently bested Party Astronauts and Third Impact to win ESEA Spring Cash Cup 5.
The loss of WolfY in particular will be a tough pill to swallow as the Swedish-American player was the team's IGL and long-time leader. When reached by Dust2.us, WolfY confirmed that he would be stepping down to a backup position for Secret Club if necessary, and is "contemplating whether to play in Europe or not."
Dust2.us did not receive comment from v1c at the time of publication.
With these changes, Secret Club are now:
- Jordan "jitter" Ruggiero
- Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield
- Ethan "reck" Serrano
- Adam "WolfY" Andersson (Backup)
If the team intend to play their scheduled matches against Recon 5 and GGPR this week in ESEA Premier Season 37 Group B, they will need to refill their ranks. As for which players may be called upon to do so, the team fielded Koby "kobruh" Higgs and Kevin "consti" Yi over the weekend in ESEA Summer Cash Cup 1, where they were ousted by Verum in the second round.
