NoVum win Fragadelphia Miami in dominant fashion
A mixteam playing as NoVum won Fragadelphia Miami this weekend, taking home $1,500 from Fragadelphia's third event of 2024. This event, which was smaller in scale compared to their previous three events, consisted of nine teams competing out of the ROK Esports Center in Palmetto Bay, Florida.
With nine teams in attendance, this iteration of FRAG's grassroots LAN series had a different format than usual, with all nine teams starting the event in a best-of-one round-robin bracket to claim one of four spots in playoffs. During the group stage, NoVum was far and away the best team, with the ESEA Advanced mix winning all eight of their matches and finishing the group stage with an impressive +77 round differential.
In the playoffs, this dominance from NoVum continued as they pushed aside their next opponent, Death by Gamers, with dual 13-2 wins over Anubis and Ancient. The finals proved equally decisive for NoVum as they faced off against ELO Throwers, with the team winning Dust2 13-10 before finishing the event with a one-sided 13-5 win on Mirage.
