Former Bad News Bears trio reunite as Retirement Home

Dust2.us has confirmed that a new roster has been invited to ESEA Advanced Season 49 featuring a slate of former and current pros who intend on pugging out the season. The squad named Retirement Home is the brainchild of streamer and former Mythic player Josiah "JoJo" Jimenez who has brought on former Bad News Bears trio Gabe "Spongey" Greiner, Jonathan "Jonji" Carey, and Peter "ptr" Gurney alongside Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield with the aim of making a deep run in ESEA Advanced.

JoJo told Dust2.us that the roster went official after ESEA approved an invite to ESEA Advanced Season 49. This mixteam will see Jonji and Spongey play their first officials in Counter-Strike 2 while ptr is set to pick up the mouse again after officially retiring in 2021. While ptr has been focused on his poker career, he actually has the most recent experience of the trio, having regularly played on mixteams with Erik "fl0m" Flom and co. in the past twelve months.

Retirement Home is set to be a pure pug as JoJo says the team will not be practicing, so it will be interesting to see how far this roster can go especially as many of the players have limited experience in Counter-Strike 2.

The first default day of ESEA Advanced Season 49 is April 7th.
