Coldzera is the odd man out

Legacy reportedly removing Major champ from starting lineup

What's next for the two-time Major winner?

In a bombshell story this morning, Dust2 Brasil has reported that Marcelo "coldzera" David will be leaving Legacy's starting lineup despite an incredible performance at the PGL Copenhagen Major.

The two-time Major champion helped guide the Legacy team to a berth in Denmark and were just one win away from qualifying for the Elimination Stage. However, it now appears that despite the achievements with the current lineup, the organization would like to move in a different direction.

The Dust2 Brasil report did not indicate any specific reasons as to why coldzera was being removed from the starting lineup, but stated that the player will become a free agent and does not intend to retire. Legacy, in the meantime, has plans of setting up camp in the USA and start competing in North America.

coldzera is a name that international fans will know well from his time winning the MLG Columbus 2016 Major and the ESL One: Cologne 2016 Major, earning MVP titles in both. Beyond that, he was a cornerstone of the famed Luminosity, SK, and MIBR rosters that dominated international competition.

In recent years, the Brazilian has moved out of the spotlight and into more of a supportive role with Legacy acting as a father figure to his much younger teammates. In an interview with Dust2.us, he spoke about how he has already accomplished everything he wanted to and now was focusing on other, more important things in his life instead.

With coldzera's benching, Legacy is now;

Brazil Bruno "latto" Rebelatto
Brazil Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara
Brazil Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer
Brazil Gabriel "NEKIZ" Schenato
Brazil Olavo "cky" Napoleão (Coach)
