Bomb bug affects FURIA in KOI match
In FURIA's elimination game today, the Brazilian team encountered a potentially game-altering bug on their second map, Vertigo, of the BO3.
Down 1-3 and in a crucial 3v3 on the A bombsite, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato attempted to plant, however, KOI's Alejandro "mopoz" Fernández-Quejo Cano burst through a smoke and killed the planter. Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes quickly traded that kill and went to the bombsite, looking to complete the plant as time ticked down in the round.
However, he could not find the bomb and lost the round to time, with Renato "stadodo" Gonçalves killing him after time, damaging not only FURIA's potential to win the round, but also their economy. As can be seen in the video below, a capture of the game demo file by Dust2 Brasil, the bomb fell through the floor of Vertigo's A site, out of the map's bounds.
Thankfully, this was ultimately inconsequential for the match as FURIA would later come back to win Vertigo 13-9 and the match 2-0.
