PGL's Copenhagen Major broadcast to include "noob stream"
When Valve announced the upcoming release of Counter-Strike 2, the game's player base broke monumental records with fans new and old coming to the game. The player base continues to remain high as of March, with more than 1.5 million players logging on earlier this month, smashing the record for most players on Counter-Strike 2 in a 24 hour period.
With more fans joining the game, there will also be newcomers to Counter-Strike's professional scene. As the PGL Copenhagen Major heats up this week, the organizer has announced a dedicated stream for those watching for the first time.
The "noob stream" will be hosted by Vince Hill and Jack "Jacky" Peters. Dota2, a much more complicated MOBA game, also experienced a similar situation where newcomers were unfamiliar with the gameplay and "noob streams" were helpful to many.
The PGL Copenhagen Major kicks off this Sunday, March 17th and will feature 24 teams from around the globe competing in a $1.25 million prizepool. There will only be one American team this year after the others were eliminated in the qualifying matches. Complexity will represent the Stars & Stripes in Copenhagen as they hope to give NA their second Major and first ever in Counter-Strike 2.
