RBG roster become restricted free agents
RBG have just announced that the remaining members of their roster are now restricted free agents. The official announcement states that Austin "gmanchew" Vieira and Jadan "HexT" Postma will be heading to VALORANT and that Colby "Walco" Walsh and Jerric "wiz" Jiang will remain in CS:GO and be in control of the roster's spot going into ESEA MDL Season 36.
HexT has since retweeted the announcement and noted that he remains undecided about his playing future. Dust2.us has clarified that statement with him and confirmed that he wants to remain in CS:GO and that he would like to stick with Walco and wiz if they'll take him on as they rebuild.
He told Dust2.us the following:
So I think I’m going to stay in CS:GO and whether they want me back is completely up to them because I made my decision too fast and didn’t think about my future really. I apologized to my teammates for switching without thinking.
RBG have already lost Josh "pwny" VanGorder to VALORANT and their coach Kieran "KayJay" Playfair to military service requirements in Canada. With the departure of gmanchew they are now short an in-game-leader as well. They recently played with Wesley "viz" Harris in ESEA Cash Cup Autumn 4 and ESEA Cash Cup Winter 1, but have since parted ways with their trialist.
If the ex-RBG crew sticks together they will be:
- Colby "Walco" Walsh
- Jadan "HexT" Postma
- Jerric "wiz" Jiang
ESEA MDL Season 36 is set to begin on January 18th, giving Walco, wiz, and maybe HexT just over a month to assemble their new roster.
