Top 5 Highlights of Day 3 of PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR

A familiar face takes the top step of the podium.

Just like we anticipated, Day 3 of the Americas RMR was not a good one for North America's aspirations of reaching the first Counter-Strike 2 Major in Copenhagen. The day started with M80 eliminating Wildcard in a three map thriller and Liquid suffering a bit but sweeping BOSS 2-0 to also eliminate the orgless squad.

By the end of the day, Complexity could not secure a spot in the Major against FURIA and are now tasked with having to beat Liquid in a do or die BO3 series. M80 have to overcome the Marcelo "coldzera" David-led Legacy if they want to play in Copenhagen come Major time. Before Day 4 starts, lets watch some of yesterday's best plays.

#5 EliGE 3K pistol round

This is how you start a crucial match. Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski absolutely demolished FURIA in the opening round of their qualification series with three crisp headshots, winning the round completely alone.

#4 Cryptic 4K HS only pistol round

5v5 pistol round retakes are not very uncommon, and BOSS had the A site of Ancient on lockdown against Liquid, thanks to Matthew "Cryptic" Whitmore, who got some beautiful headshots, four to be exact. He almost got the ace, but it wasn't meant to be.

#3 JBa 4K one mag M4A1-S

When the M4A1-S came back to the spotlight, the community argued that 20 bullets in one magazine was not enough and that multi-kills with that weapon would be hard to come by. Josh "JBa" Barutt doesn't care, he just has the perfect spray to take down four opponents with the 20 bullets Valve gave him.

#2 FalleN 1v2 clutch

Presente, Professor! Some say he is washed, but Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo is still able to give things to his teams that many players can't: calmness and presence of mind at all times. That's how he won this crucial 1v2 clutch against Complexity in the last map of their BO3 series. After this clutch, Complexity would not win another round against FURIA.

#1 hallzerk Deagle 4K HS only

From one AWPer to another, Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli, for the second day in a row, takes the top place in this list. He loves flashy plays and taking the game into his own hands, and this is a prime example of that. hallzerk completely stunned the FURIA offense as he got four Deagle headshots against a full buy from the Brazilians. Just beautiful to watch.
