Yeah and Depth through to ESEA Autumn Cash Cup 4 semifinals
Day one of the fourth ESEA Autumn Cup has concluded, with Yeah and Depth battling their way through the bracket to set up confrontations with ex-Cloud9 and paiN, respectively.
Following the conclusion of the relatively uneventful first two rounds, notable teams began to meet in round three, starting with a new-look Vireo.pro lineup featuring Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson, William "rin" McGraw, and miw0o taking down hate's Chess Club who used Calvin "becker" Becker, Joseph "clear" Allen, and Alberto "Reloadz" Garcia as stand-ins. Meanwhile, Eclipse being felled by Veloz, and Mythic, featuring Austin "Cooper-" Abadir and Donovan "zNf" Froid in place of Adam "Polen" Polen and Eric "adreN" Hoag, making quick work of Revenant.
In round four, noobie farmers, a mix consisting of 4/5 of Kinship's mid-August lineup, nearly sent New England Whalers packing before the team rallied to secure a 16-12 victory on Mirage. Elsewhere in the bracket, RUNnGUN, a mixteam featuring Wayne "castro" Einarsson, Alex "vek" Voynov, Khizar "MoMo" Rehman, Ezekiel "KmZ" Hughes, and David "J0LZ" Jolin, dispatched Vireo.pro 16-7 on Nuke.
The next two matches were the biggest upsets of the event as redhair, a mixteam consisting of Main and Advanced players, bested RBG 16-14 on Train, while Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien's SDKC claimed a close 16-13 victory over Mythic on Train.
In the quarterfinals, New England Whalers were once again tested, being pushed to overtime by RUNnGUN before coming out ahead 19-15 on Mirage. The next match saw Yeah continue their easy run through the bracket as they bested Main squad UGK 16-8.
Up next, Veloz crushed redhair 16-6 on Inferno while Depth ended SKDC's run with a one-sided 16-5 win on Train.
In the semifinals, Yeah battled New England Whalers on Inferno in a 30-round game that saw Yeah win 16-14 in part thanks to Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer claiming 26 kills. The other semifinal match was less exciting, as Depth claimed a quick 16-6 victory over Veloz on Mirage.

The event will wrap up tomorrow, with ex-Cloud9 taking on Yeah and paiN facing off against Depth at 4 PM EST. The grand final will be played afterwards, seeing the winners walk away with $3,000, while the runners-up will still net $1,000 for themselves.
