The Nomads complete last-minute rebuild with three additions
With the ESEA roster lock hitting today, The Nomads have completed their rebuild with no time to spare, seeing three new members announced today. The three additions, Dylan "DYLAN" Frivalt, Evindar "Drop" Isik, and Johnny "JDubs" Wu, join The Nomads after the team imploded last week after the departure of Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson set off a wave of defections from the team.
These departures were crushing for McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison and Justin "jsfeltner" Feltner as the team were in a decent position to make ESEA Advanced Season 48 playoffs, with The Nomads boasting a 6-3 record. As such, these rapid-fire pickups will keep the duo's dreams of returning to ESL Challenger League alive.
Looking at the new additions, DYLAN comes to The Nomads after being shockingly kicked from regain on February 15th. Despite the Canadian helping the squad to a 7-3 start to the season, his teammates kicked him while shuffling roles in order to bring in a new IGL for the back half of the season. As for Drop, the Turkish rifler recently jumped ship from AURA after a dismal 2-8 start to the Advanced season, with the team looking set for a demotion back down to ESEA Main.
The final piece of the puzzle, JDubs, joins The Nomads after last playing for Reason in ESL Challenger League Season 46. That team had their own difficult season, finishing ECL S46 with a 2-12 record, albeit two months after JDubs stepped down from the team for personal reasons.
With these additions, The Nomads are set to finish the season with:
-
McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison
-
Justin "jsfeltner" Feltner
-
Dylan "DYLAN" Frivalt
-
Evindar "Drop" Isik
-
Johnny "JDubs" Wu
-
Eric "Kwong" Kwong (Coach)
The Nomads' first match with their new roster will be against Wanted Goons tomorrow at 09:00PM.
