The Nomads look for three as roster lock looms
ESEA Advanced squad The Nomads have seen their ranks suddenly reduced to two as Spencer "Pugg" Moore, Reece "Wilky" Wilkerson, and Dylan "DJF" Ferreira all officially left the squad last night. While their departures come for a number of reasons, it leaves The Nomads in understandable dire straits, having lost their IGL and two riflers ahead of the ESEA roster lock in three days.
According to McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison, the members of the squad all left for various reasons albeit connected like a house of cards. First, Wilky left the squad due to personal reasons before DJF elected to step down from the squad to explore other options before the player break. Finally, Pugg made his exit due to being dissatisfied by potential replacements and the overall state of the team.
Despite the situation being quite grim, for now, McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison and Justin "jsfeltner" Fetlner are looking to rebuild and find players who could potentially help the squad reach playoffs. As the lineup has a 6-3 record, making playoffs is a realistic goal if they can find the right players on such short notice.
In less somber news, The Nomads recently added Eric "Kwong" Kwong as their coach in January. Kwong is a proper oldhead likely only known by long-time Dust2.us readers for his time on Etherian all the way back in 2018 where he played alongside the likes of Joshua "oSee" Ohm and Ian "motm" Hardy.
With three members leaving, The Nomads are now:
-
McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison
-
Justin "jsfeltner" Feltner
-
Eric "Kwong" Kwong (Coach)
Should The Nomads survive, their next match is scheduled against Wanted Goons on February 19th.
