NRG & PA invited to Melbourne Closed Qualifier

The road to ESL Challenger Melbourne begins later today with the first open qualifier beginning at 06:00PM.

Some top domestic teams have signed up, but NRG and Party Astronauts can skip today's and tomorrow's matches as they have been directly invited to the Closed Qualifier, which begins this Monday.

With Wildcard and Nouns are in Europe bootcamping ahead of the PGL Copenhagen Major Americas RMR, they are unable to participate in the qualifiers. BOSS, Complexity, Liquid, and M80 will be unable to play in the event due to their ESL Pro League obligation.

Complexity General Manager Graham "messioso" Pitt responded to the post after publication providing some additional context regarding the qualifiers. "Technically, we were never asked if we wanted to attend this event or the qualifiers," he explained. "For the EPL teams - you can't play Melbourne and play any of the groups since you'd leave halfway through A/B or arrive too late for the start of C/D."
